How To Get Rid of Blackheads

This is an article on how to get rid of Blackheads.

Blackheads are a pain and the most annoying part about having blackheads is not knowing how to get rid of them. Unknown to a lot of people, blackheads are not always gotten from dirt, sometimes, just some mistakes we have been making. Let's see what we call blackheads.

 What are blackheads?
Blackheads are caused by oxidized oil and dead skin cells that clog the pores. The pores then become pigmented, hence the "blackhead". 

Blackheads are sometimes gotten from  popping and scratching of pimples and spots on the face. Blackheads affects mostly people with oily skin, which means if you have oily skin, you are more prone to getting blackheads.

Blackheads on the skin are obvious and annoying. We personally would not want that to ruin our beautiful skin that's why We decided to create an article on how to remove blackheads from your skin. Whether you are dark skinned or fair, it affects us all, but we can stop that.

Ways To Get Rid of Blackheads
*Exfoliate Regularly

Regular exfoliation has to be my first way to get rid of blackheads. These is not uncommon since blackheads are gotten from oxidized dead skin cells and oils.

What's exfoliation?
Incase you don't know what exfoliation means, exfoliation is the removal of dead skin cells through mechanical or chemical abrasives.

Mechanical Abrasive:
This is using an object to scrub the skin to remove the dead skin cells. I use my sponge.(not advising you to)but, face brushes are less harsh on the skin than most other products.

Chemical Abrasives:
Chemical abrasives is exfoliation with the use of chemicals. Not the "harsh" kind of chemicals, but the use of DIYs and other raw natural products to exfoliate.
With exfoliation, the blackheads can even be avoided before it forms. Incase you already have blackheads, exfoliation works too.

*Use Cleansers With Salicylic Acid

Salicylic acids are very good for blackheads, they dissolve materials that clogs the skin pores, and by doing that, stop the primary reason for blackheads.

When going shopping the next time, search for a cleanser with Salicylic Acid and use it in the morning and at night with cotton wool. In case you can get a raw form of Salicylic Acid, use it on the skin sparely to avoid skin irritation.

*Avoid Popping or Scratching Pimples:

Guilty, guilty, guilty! A lot are guilty of this. I know sometimes it's unavoidable especially if it's an enormous pimple.
Unfortunately, popping it does more bad than good, you are creating an avenue for dirt and oil from your fingers to hide in your pores. Overall, avoid unnecessary touching of your face.

*Avoid Products With Oils

Oily skinned people are more prone to blackheads and pimple outbreaks. Your skin already makes enough oil to not need an external oil, such as coconut, Shea butter or petroleum jelly. Use moisturizers like Nivea Natural Fairness or Venus. These moisturizers moisturize without giving you the oily or greasy feel.

*Use Facemasks

DIY facemasks are an easy to make face mask, you can rub in pure honey in your face, let it sit for as long as you can, wash with cold water to mildly reduce face blemishes.

*Use Good Moisturizers 

Moisturizers play a prominent role in your beauty game, after doing your exfoliation, and facemasks, your skin is stripped of good oils and you need to moisturize. Use good moisturizers without the oily and greasy feel to avoid further outbreaks.

*Wear lighter Makeup

Even if it's just till your blackheads are gone, wear a lighter base of makeup since makeup also plays a lot in blackheads. Dirty makeup brushes, wearing makeup to sleep and other avoidable things should be stopped.

A lighter base of makeup also makes it easier to clean the makeup from your face and get rid of blackheads for people with oily skin.
