Evergreen

"Love",a word often said
 A word often heard but I knew what I meant when I said "i love you"
And you didn't hold back but instead you said "you love me more"
My whole world became yours and yours mine
Our hearts and soul interchanged

Together we lay on the grass
Counting the never ending stars
Reading the thoughts of our hearts through the depth of our eyes
Seeing our love grow through thick and thin
Remembering the days after Valentine's day
When we thought we couldn't  make our love last less than a week
When we thought we were just living in the moment of gifts and lust
We have grown old in age but still very young in love and at heart
For our love is evergreen
It never gets old
It never dies
