Chidimma Ekile popularly known by her stage name Chidinma or Miss Kedike, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter, recording artist and stage performer.
The beautiful singer who is one of the most sort-after female artists in Nigeria hails from Imo state. She became popular when she emerged the winner of Season 3 of MTN's Project Fame Talent show in 2010, with this exposure she furthered her musical career releasing a lot of singles including “Kedike” which gave her the title “Miss Kedike”.
EARLY LIFE AND BACKGROUND
Chidinma Ekile the 6th of 7 children was born on the 2nd of May 1991 to Mrs. Martha Ekile and late Mr. Hillary Ekile who both hail from Imo State. At birth she was blind, this event in her life holding for a tormultious 15 days as her mother wept and prayed with her father for the young child, on the 16th day she began to see. She says of her childhood "I was born a very fragile baby with some health conditions".
She started singing at the age of 6 and joined her church choir at the age of 10. She was born in Ketu a very popular ghetto in Lagos State and attended both primary and Secondary school in Ketu, before moving to Ikorodu, Lagos with her family.
The Inspirational, Petite singer seen by many as a "homely" girl was groomed by a disciplinarian father but can also be called a hustler owing to the business promotions did in Lagos before auditioning for Project Fame. She is studing Sociology at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), having declined her first admission in order to participate in Project Fame. Initially she was admitted to study mass communication (her dream course), but she sacrificied it for the Project Fame Competition.
She has won numerous awards such as Kora Award(2012) Nigeria Music Video Awards(2013) and many others.
Her first Album had "Jankoliko" Featuring Sound Sultan.
She is an ambassador of MTN and she is not stopping her hottness anytime soon!
